Mental Health and Well Being

At Rauceby, we understand that for our children to excel within the classroom, they must feel equipped to thrive emotionally. Each class have two well-being champions who support all children to have positive mental health and use self-help strategies such as mindfulness, breathing techniques and zones of regulation. Through our whole school approach, we also offer a variety of group and 1:1 interventions which support our children’s mental health and wellbeing, enabling them to acquire the skills to feel happy and healthy.

These include:

  • Friends Programme
  • Thera-build (therapy with lego)
  • Drawing and Talking (1:1 therapeutic support)
  • Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA)
  • Sensory circuits
  • Feelings Casefiles
  •

We work closely with the Mental Health Support Team and can refer children to their service for cognitive behavioural therapy sessions. We also work with other external agencies to ensure that access to the best support for our children, their parents and carers is available.
