Y1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

The children, Headteacher, staff and governors of Rauceby Church of England Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an inspiring, ambitious, and dynamic KS1 class teacher to join our experienced, skilled and committed staff team.  This is a rare opportunity to join our teaching team and we are looking forward to hearing what you can offer our children here at Rauceby. This is a temporary position from January 2026 to cover a maternity leave for up to three terms. The post is to teach our small Y1 class of 14 children.

Teaching Assistant (1 full time post or 2 part time posts)

 

The children, head teacher, staff and governors of Rauceby Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint two Teaching Assistants to join our teaching team.  We work hard to support all our children so they can achieve their potential, and this post is to support children with special educational needs across our school.

We are looking for someone who is willing and able to develop a strong understanding of a number of children’s needs and how to support them, working in partnership with their class teachers, SENDCO, our wider staff team and the children’s families. The successful candidate will be able to expertly support children’s learning as well as the personal and emotional development of children during their time at school.

This post is temporary until the child/children or the Education, Health and Care Plan/s funding ceases. The posts are for the following hours although we will also accept applications from candidates who wish to combine both posts to form a full time position

Post 1: 16.25 hours to include five mornings

Post 2: 11.25 hours to include five afternoons

We are looking for the candidate/s to start as soon as possible, preferably at the start of Term 3

Our ideal candidate/s will be able to:

  • expertly support children’s development and learning – educationally, emotionally and socially
  • understand how to support children who are experiencing emotional dysregulation
  • support and understand children’s sensory needs
  • promote children’s self-esteem and confidence
  • assist with the planning and preparation of activities and implement provision plans including programmes from outside agencies
  • enjoy working as part of a team and be able to use their own initiative
  • be solution focused with a positive attitude
  • draw on their experience of working with children in a primary school or special school setting
  • use their experience of working and interacting with children with special educational needs to support the needs of individual children
  • use their experience or knowledge of children with social communication difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and sensory need.
  • commit to be involved in the wider life of our village school

Wrap Around Care Play Leader

Rauceby Primary School is seeking a dedicated Wrap Around Care Play Leader to join our team and help deliver high-quality after school care provision. We are in the process of extending our wrap around care offer and this is an exciting new opportunity at our school.

About the Role

As our Wrap Around Care Play Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting and organising engaging play activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of children attending our after school club. This position requires creativity, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the development and wellbeing of every child in your care. This position is for 16.25 hours a week, Monday – Friday 3.00pm – 6.15pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care with a broad range of stimulating and creative activities tailored to group and individual needs.
  • Lead the planning and organisation of play opportunities that support children’s physical, emotional, educational, and social development.
  • Act in accordance with school policies, particularly safeguarding and behaviour management.
  • Prepare and serve snacks as required, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Support children with special educational needs and carry out reasonable personal care/hygiene duties.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary.
  • Ensure the wraparound environment is tidy and equipment is cleared away after use.
  • Assist with the safe movement of children within the provision.
  • Keep up to date with the latest childcare developments and best practises.
