Our last day here saw us up at Malham Tarn. Ollie and Ella from the field study centre worked with us on team building games - the spider’s web was certainly a challenge. After lunch, Ollie set us an orienteering challenge before we headed off on a guided walk from the Tarn back to Malham cove and the village. Ollie told us all about the geology of the area and Ella wowed us with her knowledge of plant life. We were fascinated to see the very rare lady’s slipper orchid!
A great second day here at Malham! We headed off on our 4.5 mile hike to Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Cove. A great walk with lots of fascinating things to see. An ice-cream stop and a trip to the gift shop once we arrived back in Malham finished the day off nicely.
We’ve had a great first day at Malham! We stopped off at Yorkshire Sculpture Park for a walk and lunch - we particularly loved the sculpture of the Chinese Zodiac - the class of 22 are the year of the rabbit and the tiger! After the excitement of arriving at Malham and getting into our rooms, it was tea, a run around and a walk around Malham. We are up and raring to go this morning on our walk to Malham Cove!
